Anne Moreau is a full professor at the Laboratoire Paul Painlevé of the University of Lille.
Her research interests lie in algebraic and geometric methods in Lie theory and representation theory (nilpotent orbits, index of a Lie algebra, symmetric invariants, Clifford algebras, etc), and algebraic geometry (arc spaces and motivic integrals on spherical varieties). Her recent work focuses on vertex algebras and affine W-algebras.
Since 2010, she regularly visits the Mathematic department of the University of Geneva. In 2012, together with Prof. Anton Alekseev, they published an article about Kostant’s conjecture on Clifford algebras generated by simple Lie algebras, and they plan to pursue their research on this theme.
This time, Anne Moreau came to Geneva for one month. In a joint project with Prof. Anton Alekseev, they studied possible affine versions of their results on Clifford algebras. In addition, Prof. Anne Moreau gave a series of talks in the seminar “Groupes de Lie et espaces des modules”. She presented her recent work on Mishchenko-Fomenko algebras, and joint works with Tomoyuki Arakawa on Poisson vertex algebras and quantizations of Slodowy slices. During her stay, she also had fruitful conversations with other researchers : with Dr. Jeremy Lane—a postdoctoral researcher in Geneva—about Gelfand-Zetlin systems, and with Prof. Andras Szenes about non-commutative interpretations of identities arsing from Thom polynomials.Website
