Professor Sir Martin Hairer is the single winner of the 2021 Breakthrough Prize in Mathematics. He was a PhD student at UNIGE in our member Jean-Pierre Eckmann’s group. He finished his PhD in 2001 on "Comportement asymptotique d’équations à dérivées partielles stochastiques".More »

Maryna Viazovska (EPFL) receives the National Latsis Prize awarded to young researchers under the age of 40, for her ground-breaking mathematical problem solving. The prize will be presented by Federal Councillor Guy Parmelin at an awards ceremony in Bern on 4 November.More »
