Our Postdoc member Roope Uola (UNIGE, N. Brunner’s Group) received an SNSF Ambizione Grant starting in Jan 2022 for his project "Quantum measurement resources: theory and applications"”. 
Press coverage for the recently published outreach initiative PSCHITT! A collection of experiments encouraging children's interested in science. 
Congratulations to Pierrick Bousseau (ETH Zurich) who received the Cours et Prix Claude-Antoine Peccot 2021-2022 which distinguishes the most promising young mathematicians. The prize is traditionally awarded at the June meeting of the Collège de France, on the proposal of the mathematics professors. 
Carmin.tv is an audio-visual broadcasting platform for mathematics and its interactions with other sciences. The platform currently hosts around 4,500 videos from mathematical conferences and exchanges and includes talks by some of our members. 
This Saturday, 11th of December 2021 at 6 PM- 8 PM (IST) Nicolas Gisin (UNIGE) will participate in a live-streamed public discussion the Cultural Centre of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Dehli,

How to get children interested in science? Nothing could be easier now with PSCHITT! a collection of experiments recently published by the Espace des inventions, the University of Fribourg, EPFL and University of Geneva. 
This year’s ETH Day 2021 (20th of Nov) was particularly important as ETH Zurich celebrated its 166th anniversary together with guests from research, politics, and industry. Amongst some of the Speakers were the ETH Rector and President Sarah Springman as well as the Federal Councillor Simonetta Sommaruga.

Previously scheduled for November 2020, the Swiss national selection finally took place on Saturday 13th of November 2021 at Technorama in Winterthur. For the second consecutive time, our Outreach Officer Shaula Fiorelli participated as a member of the jury. 
As part of the Three Stations for Art-Science Meetings, our member Alessio Figalli (ETH Zurich) will be meeting Roberta Fulci, a mathematician by training, as well as journalist and speaker at Radio3Scienza. 
Since 2015, the UN has proclaimed 11th of February as the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. This year, for the fourth consecutive time, Mathscope will participate to the "Women scientists visit local schools" from 7th to 11th February 2022 in Geneva. 
The Kinetic Theory Seminar will bring the Swiss Kinetic Community together and will consists of one (2 hours) seminar per semester, held alternatively at UniBas and at ETH Zurich. 
The Winter School will take place in Hybrid Format. Please note that the number of onsite participants is restricted to 65. Online registrations are also possible. Onsite registration deadline: 5th December 2021. Online registration deadline: 15th December 2021
The conference has been postponed to 2022, (previous dates: 22-25 June 2020 and 7-10 June 2021). This conference will bring together students and close collaborators of Jean-Pierre Eckmann on the occasion of his 50 years at the University of Geneva. 
Eminent mathematician and Fields Medal winner in 1990, Vaughan Jones was particularly attached to the University of Geneva. His research work but also his enthusiasm and generosity have deeply marked all those who had a chance to work with him and who wish to pay him a vibrant tribute through this conference in his memory.
