Can we imagine a world without maths?

12 May 2021

- Can we imagine a world without maths?

- How long has maths been around?

- Do you have any other passions besides maths?

As today 12th May, we are celebrating women in mathematics, we wanted to share some of the questions which were asked by 7-10 year olds to Shaula Fiorelli, head of the Mathscope, during the classroom visits earlier this year for the International Women and Girls in Science Day.

During these visits, the children were free to ask questions about mathematics and about life as a mathematician. Laughter, surprises and discoveries made these encounters a memorable experience for these young students, and one that may lead them to new mathematical horizons.
