Departing member: Peter Hintz

Professor Peter Hintz, Associate Professor of Mathematics and Physics in the Department of Mathematics, left ETH Zurich at the end of August 2025. Peter Hintz joined ETH Zurich as an associate professor in 2021. He is a mathematical physicist whose research focuses on problems of general relativity theory and analysis, with special emphasis on microlocal analysis. He is a world leader in his field and has received numerous awards. Peter Hintz is left ETH Zurich to take up a full professorship in the Mathematics Department of Pennsylvania State University.
