Junior Euler Society

junior_euler_society.jpg

The Junior Euler Society (JES) is the outreach programme of the Institute of Mathematics of the University of Zurich and part of the Science Lab of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MNF) of the University of Zurich.

The aim of the Junior Euler Society (JES) is to offer interested young people at all school levels, the opportunity to engage with mathematics beyond the school curriculum. Topics from different areas of mathematics are dealt with that are not or only marginally covered in school lessons. Under scientific guidance and together with like-minded people, young people solve mathematical problems independently and develop their own solution methods. Young people who would like to take part in national and international mathematics competitions and/or are considering studying one of the STEM subjects are supported in their preparations with special course offerings. The JES is committed to close cooperation with schools at all levels.
