The lecture by Alessio Figalli (ETH Zurich): "From elastic membranes to ice melting" as part of the Abel Prize Lectures in May is available online.

Alessio Figalli (ETH Zurich) is a #mathematician working primarily on calculus of variations and partial differential equations. He was awarded Fields Medal in 2018 and is part of the NCCR SwissMAP Phase III Differential equations of Mathematical Physics direction.
