G-Research “Women in Quant Finance event” Nov 23-24

21 Oct 2020

Our alumnus Samuel Monnier (UZH, A. Cattaneo's & UNIGE, A. Alekseev's group) who now works at G-Research, is part of the organization team of this event.

G-Research is committed to growing the range of voices and perspectives within their industry.

They are therefore excited to announce the start of their Women’s Engagement Programme with their first Women in Quant Finance event. Designed for those based in Europe, it will be the first in their programme, with future editions set to take place in London and the US.

This remote event will include a range of introductory and technical talks, as well as collaborative skills courses and interview prep sessions. Their goal is to give women studying for a PhD the chance to learn more about working in quantitative research in finance, while providing them with the chance to build up a network of their peers.

Details

The event will be held remotely, so you’ll be able to join from the comfort of your own home via video conference call. It will take place on the evenings of the 23rd and 24th of November, 2020.

On Day 1, you will hear an introductory talk from some of their quant researchers before participating in an interactive case study, giving you the chance to get hands-on with the type of work we engage with.

On Day 2, we will host another talk by one of their quant researchers, this time focused on the financial industry. Following this, we’ll be hosting a panel discussion, and afterwards you’ll get the chance to network with your peers. Each day’s activities will run for approximately 3 hours.
