Join us live online to discuss « Énigmes mathématiques au temps de Charlemagne »

6 Oct 2021

Next Monday 11th of October at 18:30 we invite you to take a break from your daily activities and to join the Café de L’Histoire (FR) live online. On this occasion it will be devoted to the latest publication by Philippe Genequand (Université de Montréal) and Jérôme Gavin (Collège Voltaire): « Énigmes mathématiques au temps de Charlemagne » (EPFL Press).

The Café de L’Histoire is an initiative between the bookstore Payot and UNIGE’s Maison de l'Histoire. These regular meetings take the audience back in time and are designed for the general public by passionate specialists.

The book which will be discussed explores many of the questions of the time that have long intrigued mathematicians and historians alike. Both authors will be present and the discussion will be moderated by our Outreach Officer Shaula Fiorelli & Martin Roch (UNIGE).

We look forward to welcoming you to this event, feel free to invite your friends and family!
