New member: Tommaso Botta

5 Jan 2021

Welcome to our new PhD member: Tommaso Botta (ETH Zurich, G. Felder's Group).
Tommaso is Italian, and he completed his Master Thesis at the ETH Zurich under the supervision of Prof. Giovanni Felder.
His current research interests are in algebro-geometric approaches to mathematical physics, specifically in geometric representation theory and its applications. Combining notions in algebraic geometry, algebraic topology and representation theory, he is trying to produce and interpret representations via the geometry and topology of algebraic varieties, gaining knowledge on both sides.
He also focuses on the theory of stable envelopes and their applications in the realm of quantum groups.

Phase I & II research project(s)

  • Field Theory
  • Geometry, Topology and Physics
