New member: Vito Pellizzani (UniBE, S. Reffert’s Group)

31 Aug 2021

Welcome to our new PhD member Vito Pellizzani (UniBE, S. Reffert’s Group). Vito obtained his Master degree from EPFL in Prof. Shaposhnikov's group, but completed his Master thesis at the University of Toronto under the supervision of Prof. Poppitz. There, he worked on perturbative aspects of deformed Yang-Mills theories. Last fall, he joined Prof. Reffert's group at the University of Bern as a PhD student. His work focuses on the large-charge approach to CFTs and strongly coupled theories, with a current emphasis on non-relativistic systems. He is interested in combining this technique with other tools like holography or resurgence in the future.
