Nonperturbative Methods in Quantum Field Theory Workshop

6 Apr 2022

Our members Alba Grassi (UNIGE / CERN), João Penedones (EPFL) and Alexander Zhiboedov (CERN) are in the organizing committee of the Nonperturbative Methods in Quantum Field Theory Workshop  (CERN, 23 May-03 June)

Are you a Ph.D student or postdoc in theoretical physics?

They are hoping to bring 10 junior researchers to a workshop on Nonperturbative Methods in Quantum Field Theory, prioritizing those from underrepresented groups or who have limited access to funding resources.

No prior experience with this topic is required, they are just looking for young physicists who are interested in quantum field theory and are eager to learn.

If this sounds like you, we strongly encourage you to apply!

If your application is accepted, they will provide:

1. Reimbursement for travel to Geneva, and 1 week of lodging + local expenses

2. A pre virtual bootcamp introducing some of the topics of the workshop

3. Support during the workshop (discussions with senior participants, project brainstorming)

4. Monthly virtual follow-up meetings to potentially start collaborations

Deadline: 7 April 2022

Apply: indico.cern.ch/e/QFT2022

Organisers: Alba Grassi, CERN & UNIGE

Brian Henning, EPFL

João Penedones, EPFL

Matthew Walters, EPFL

Alexander Zhiboedov, CERN
