Stage intensif Des mathématiciennes d’élite s’entraînent aux Diablerets

20 Feb 2025

Tribune de Genève article (FR) about the International EGMO camp at the SwissMAP Research Station (16 February 2025 - 21 February 2025).

This is an international camp aimed at preparing students for the European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO). Each country will bring their EGMO team and a speaker, and the speaker from each country will teach one preparation session (morning or afternoon) in an area within algebra, geometry, number theory, and combinatorics.

There will also be a special session with distinguished SwissMAP professors. Despite the fact that students train for a competition, a collaborative environment will be established, in which students from different countries learn from each other and meet potential future coauthors.

The camp is organized jointly by the ETH Math Youth Academy, the Junior Euler Society, and the Swiss Math Olympiad.
