Welcome to three SwissMAP visitors

15 Jun 2022

We welcome NCCR SwissMAP visitors: Pavlo Gavrylenko, Volodymyr Lyubashenko and Serge Parnovsky, as part of the measure to support Ukrainian researchers to continue their work.

Pavlo Gavrylenko (hosted by UNIGE, Alba Grassi's Group):

Pavlo's interests are mathematical physics in general, and in particular integrable systems, supersymmetric gauge theories, conformal field theory, isomonodromic deformations of any sort, and relations between these topics.

Volodymyr Lyubashenko (hosted by UZH, A. Beliakova's Group):

Volodymyr is a mathematical physicist and mathematician from Kyiv. He has been working in conformal field theory, Hopf algebras, quantum groups, low-dimensional topology, category theory, operads and higher category theory, and homological (and most recently homotopical) algebra.

Serge Parnovsky (hosted by UNIGE, Ruth Durrer's Group):

Serge's Scientific interests: general relativity (classical and quantum) and relativistic cosmology, extragalactic astronomy, astrophysics, popularization of science. He studies the evolution of the Universe from the Big Bang up to this day, formation of stars, large-scale structure and large-scale motion of galaxies, black holes and naked singularities, and writes articles and books about all this.

SNSF also offers further support for Ukrainian Researchers.
