The School of Mathematics of the University of Geneva and the National Center for Competence in Research (NCCR) SwissMAP are inviting applications for positions of Full, Associate or Assistant (tenure track) Professor and a position of Assistant Professor (tenure track) in Mathematical Physics understood in a broad sense.
The School of Mathematics of the University of Geneva hosts the NCCR SwissMAP which offers a stimulating scientific environment focusing on the following 5 research projects in Mathematical Physics: “Geometry, Topology and Physics”, “Field Theory”, “Statistical Mechanics”, “String Theory”, and “Quantum Systems”
The advertised positions are full-time and tenured (for Associate and Full Professors) or tenure track (for Assistant Professors). They assume teaching at the Bachelor, Master and post-graduate level, supervising Master and PhD theses, developing research at the highest international level, securing external funding and taking up administrative and organizational duties in the School.
Successful candidates will be capable of developing a broad and independent line of research in topics of interest of the School of Mathematics and of the NCCR SwissMAP. They are expected to contribute to the excellent international scientific reputation of the University of Geneva.
REQUIREMENTS:
PhD in sciences or equivalent diploma.
Publications in top international Mathematics journals.
STARTING DATE: September 1, 2021 or upon mutual agreement.
