Iakovos' interests are Analysis and index theory associated with singularities, such as the ones that appear in mathematical physics; for instance the singular foliations which arise in Poisson geometry, or the singularities of hypoelliptic (pseudo)differential operators. He develops Noncommutative Geometry methods using diffeological groupoids.
