The annual Quantum Thermodynamics conference (QTD 2021) will take place online (4-8 Oct 2021)

19 Apr 2021

The annual Quantum Thermodynamics conference QTD 2021will take place online from 4th to the 8th of October 2021. Our members Nicolas Brunner (UNIGE) and Géraldine Haack (UNIGE) are in the organizing committee.

QTD attracts scientists from different fields, including statistical mechanics, quantum information, and condensed matter, with the objective of discussing recent advances on thermodynamic processes in the quantum scale.

Topics of interest

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

• Characterisation of non-equilibrium dynamics/fluctuation relations

• Small scale/quantum engines and refrigerators

• Thermometry and sensing at the nanoscale

• Equilibration and thermalization in many-body systems

• Quantum effects in charge/heat transport

• Strong coupling and non-markovian dynamics

• Foundations of (quantum) thermodynamics

Registration and location

The conference will take place online from the 4th to the 8th of October 2021. Registration is free. Participants are encouraged to submit their works as contributed talks and/or posters.

Deadlines

June 15, 2021 Application for contributed talks

September 24, 2021 Application for contributed posters and registration
