Next Kinetic Theory Seminar 29th Nov : Prof. Sergio Simonella (University of Roma La Sapienza)

We are pleased to announce that the next “Kinetic Theory Seminar” will take place in Basel on Wednesday, 29th November 2023.

 

This seminar series organized by Mikaela Iacobelli (ETH Zurich) and Chiara Saffirio (UniBas), aims at bringing together researchers interested in kinetic theory from the Zurich and Basel area. There is one event per semester, alternating locations between the ETH Zurich and the University of Basel.

 

Usually, the event lasts two hours, with the first hour introducing a topic, and the second hour being more specialized and focused on recent results.

Title: Boltzmann equation, hard sphere systems and their small and large deviations
 
Time: 1:45 pm - 15:45 (including coffee break)
 
Location: room 05.002 Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Spiegelgasse 5, Basel.
