Postdoctoral positions in Mathematical Physics

Position Description:

We invite applications for two postdoctoral positions in Mathematical Physics at the University of Geneva.

 

Position 1 - Group of Prof. Marcos Mariño

 

This position is funded by the SNSF Project “Resurgence, Geometry and Physics: towards a unified approach ” and the successful candidate is expected to carry out research in areas related to the aims of the project. The candidate should have less than 5 years of postdoctoral experience at the time the appointment begins.

 

Position 2 - Group of Prof. Alba Grassi

 

This position is funded by the SNSF Starting Grant “Quantum Curves and Black Holes” and the successful candidate is expected to carry out research in areas related to the aims of the project. The candidate should have less than 3 years of postdoctoral experience at the time the appointment begins.

 

Both positions will be for a period of two years, with the possibility of extension for a third year depending on the availability of funding. Postdocs are also expected to do a small amount of teaching in the mathematics and physics departments.

 

The positions are expected to start in September 2026 with some flexibility. Preference is given to applications submitted by December 1st. Late applications may still be considered until the position is filled.
