Swiss Mathematical Society Doctoral Day

The Swiss Mathematical Society and ETH Zurich invite graduate students and recent postdocs in mathematics from Swiss universities to a special one-day event offering a platform for presentations, discussions, and exchange of experiences on Friday, 17 April 2026.  

Description

Goals:

  • Make new contacts with peers from all of Switzerland
  • Share your experiences and gain inspiration from others
  • Enjoy informal discussions during the coffee and lunch breaks
  • Learn about the benefits and support provided by the Swiss Mathematical Society

Organisers:

  • Steering committee SMS, Prof. Mikaela Iacobelli and Alessandra Naldi

Information:

  • Participants are encouraged to give a short (15 min) talk on their research topic
  • We will not be hosting a poster session
  • Lunch will be provided to all participants
  • Travel costs will be refunded to speakers

Date and Location

The workshop will take place at ETH Zurich, Department of Mathematics, on Friday, 17 April 2026.

The venue is at HG G 19.1 (main building ETH Zurich, Rämistrasse 101, 8092 Zurich, floor G, room 19.1).
