Matthias Christandl works in quantum information and computation, his work touching on tensor theory with applications in e.g. algebraic complexity. At present, he is Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark, where he leads the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center 'Quantum for Life' and is a Principal Investigator of the VILLUM Foundation Centre of Excellence QMATH. He has previously held faculty positions in Munich and at ETH Zurich and holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge. Matthias is member of the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters and has chaired the programme committee of QIP 2019.
