Higher Structures in QFT and String Theory - A Virtual Conference for Junior Researchers

Jul 12, 2021 – Jul 16, 2021
A Virtual Conference Switzerland
#

Higher Structures in QFT and String Theory A Virtual Conference for Junior Researchers 12. 07. 2021 – 16. 07. 2021

Registration is open until 12. 06. 2021. The conference is free of charge.

The conference aims at bringing together young people pursuing research at the intersection of theoretical and mathematical physics. The talks will take place on Zoom, and will be followed by extended coffee breaks on gather.town - a virtual platform for social interactions and scientific discussions.

Another important aim is to create new (and strengthen already existing) bridges between physics and mathematics. This is especially important for the younger generation of researchers, since the two fields are becoming more and more entangled. In particular, the first part of each talk should be made comprehensive to a broad audience of participants.

Make sure to register, if you work in one of the following or related topics!
  • BRST and BV(-BFV) methods
  • Dualities in String and M-theory
  • TQFT, AQFT, and CFT
  • Perturbative Methods in QFT
  • Derived Methods in Field Theory
  • Functorial Field Theory
  • Factorization Algebras and Factorization Homology
  • Gauge Theory
  • Quantum Gravity
  • Integrable Systems
