22 Jul 2021

Congratulations to our members Arthur Jacot (EPFL, C. Hongler's group) and Maria Yakerson (ETHZ, R. Pandharipande's group) who have been awarded the 2021 SwissMAP Innovator Prize!

The SwissMAP Innovator Prize is awarded once a year to PhD students or Postdocs for important scientific achievements in the NCCR SwissMAP research areas.

Arthur Jacot is awarded a SwissMAP Innovator Prize 2021 for his works in the study of large-scale Artificial Neural Networks, in particular via the introduction of the Neural Tangent Kernel, and for his works on Random Feature and Kernel models using random matrix techniques.

Maria Yakerson is awarded a SwissMAP Innovator Prize 2021 for her work on motivic homotopy theory and its connection to the Hilbert scheme of points of affine spaces.

The award ceremony will take place during the SwissMAP General Meeting in Les Diablerets, September 12-15, 2021.
